This was the first book I wrote some twelve years ago and is now my latest release as an ebook. At first, when I set out to edit it for ebook publication, I thought I would make just a few changes here and there, but after reading it again I came to the view that a quick tidy up would not be do it justice. It’s a story about a man who fakes his death and reinvents himself on a Greek island, like the real life John Darwin, who was supposed to have died in a canoeing accident in 2002 only to turn up in Panama in 2007. He and his wife, who pocketed the insurance money, are now in prison. I wrote it in 1998/99, two to three years before John Darwin disappeared. Maybe he might have read it.
So; I ended up keeping to the original story but changing the style and shortening it to make it sharper and more concise, and a better read. If you read it and have read the original, The Electronic Conspirator, let me know what you think.
