If you haven’t read any of my books, try the electronic
conspirator, the first book I wrote. It’s about a man who
fakes his death, collects millions from a super-scam on the Internet
and re-invents himself on an almost uninhabited Greek island only
to have his idyllic new life spoilt by his scorned wife and revengeful
lover. A bit raw and unrefined but, I’m told, pleasing.
A review posted on Amazon
If you enjoyed the crisp,
lean style of an early Grisham book like "The Firm",
then you'll enjoy this.
The author easily grabs your interest with some good invention,
and develops the plot quickly in a very objective, almost police
incident report style - which is likely to appeal more to the male
reader. That said, the two strongest characters are both women.
Whilst few of the peripheral characters seem worthy of our sympathy,
the principal players are caught up in a fast moving story that
grabs your attention; if you were in the mood you might devour
this in a single session.
If you like a dark thriller with threat and menace, this is probably
not for you. But if you like to be kept guessing, wondering how
you might react if thrust into a similar situation, you’ll
enjoy this.’
Storyline
A macabre message, 'dead body available,' continuously flickers across Barry
Carter's computer screen. Days later he's dead, criminals have lost millions,
five desperate people were rescued from financial ruin and a most spectacular
electronic conspiracy has occurred. No clues - just a traceless e-mail signature;
Scorpion.
Who's Scorpion, and is Barry dead? Louise Cooper, searching for her missing
lover, thinks she knows. Detective Jo Symes, hunting a body thief, believes
she knows.
But why, in a thrilling vortex of romance, murder and revenge with Louise and
Jo racing to find Barry first, is his supposed widow there before them?
